Feeling blue? Today - January 19, 2009 - is the most depressing day in HISTORY, say experts.
The first time I’ve read it this morning, I simply dismissed the idea until my colleague’s computer suddenly made an unusual noise while we were DISS-cussing the second coming of Bebe Gandanghari. Look what happened ------->Nakakaloka. Nabiyak yung CD into pieces sa loob ng cd drive.
Then I immediately googled what today is all about.
Well, Mondays have always been the worst day of the week. Haha. Many of us (sometimes or most of the time) dread the fact of coming back to work on Mondays. Aminin na natin. But today is different, today is special, today is Blue Monday.
Well, I am not really sure how to put it correctly but reports say that yes, it is the most depressing day of the year (may ganun pala di ba?). According to these experts, the six depressive factors will come together today including the winter weather, Christmas credit card bills and abandoned New Year's resolutions. Fears over job security, mounting debt and the house price collapse make this year the toughest yet.
True!!! – six times. I mean they do have a point. I just can’t believe that the world will be aligned in having the same deperessing day. How cool is that huh. Anyhoo.. Let me share what I had to endure this Blue Monday….
One. The weather is/was HUMID.
Last week, I was trying my best to be the Godfather of layering. I mean, I fully enjoyed the cold weather. Aside from the fact that I got to use my really makapal clothes, it somehow made us ‘tipid’ by not having to use aircons and even electric fans at times.
Two. Really, terribly bad traffic.
Today, I had to endure a travel time of exactly an hour and 38 minutes for a less than five kilometer distance (Buendia LRT to
). Goodness. Makati Avenue
Three. People were either sleepy or disoriented.
In a few conversations I had today – some were really sleepy to even care or does not have the normal mental health to answer. Nakakatawa talaga. Even me, I had the “mali-mali” syndrome earlier. Hahaha.
And of course, what could top the broken CD drive of my colleague’s pc. It retired on its own. Hahaha. Which got me thinking, baka nga si Bebe ang malas kanina. Oh well, tell me your Blue Monday stories or if you even talked about Bebe. Compare notes tayo. Hahahaha.
