For Mother's Day

Ok, I admit, I still have that Royal Wedding hangover.  Jejeje.

While we all know that the gorgeous top secret dress, as revealed only yesterday, was done by the brillant Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. Did you know that Kate Middleton actually did her own make-up????

Cool huh?

Now, this maybe your chance to somehow be able to do the same. As Paul & Joe brings you....

There are only very limited slots, so hurry!!!

Gleeks

Perhaps the most beautiful Glee mash up to date is this song.

Rachael and Quinn never sounded this good ☺

And oh, did I say, Diana Agron is nakaka-tibo!!!

Seriously!

Gudjab kau!

Listen to the full version here.

This is sooo moving,

Friendster

I guess you've all heard the news.  Friendster is "reinventing" itself once again and will close down on May 31.  And the new "reinvented" Friendster will somehow focus more on the gaming side daw.

Looking back, I couldn't help but reminisce those days when we are all ruled by Friendster alone.  Way before the massive social media network invasion happened.  I have fond memories of Friendster!  Somehow, na-miss ko yung mala-slumbook nilang page! Yung mga nakakatawang 'shoutout' na parang ewan.  But most of all, what I miss most about Friendster is the "Testimonial"  - in that dedicated space on your page. Kung saan nasasaad ang lahat ng klase ng pambobola ng mga kaibigan mo, with matching animated pix and video dedications pa!!!  Something Facebook, Twitter or even Tumblr, somehow, don't really have. Jeje. (or baka hindi ko lang alam).

It was like a badge of honor back then.  There was even that silent rule na kapag sinulatan ka ng testi, dapat gawan mo rin siya!!  Otherwise, it might trigger the end of your friendship with the person or you may simply never hear the end of it! Ilang beses na ba akong nasabihan na "Oi...hindi mo pa ako ginagawan ng testi!". Hahaha.

Oh boy, how I wish I was able to save those testimonials I've earned during Friendster days, before I cancelled my account.  It would've been nice to read once more lahat ng kalokohan or mga katotohanang nakasulat dun.  And actually see how many friends did not keep their promise of "keeping in touch" and how many did stay as sweet as they were. Hahahaha.

Thank you Friendster!!
I had fun.

Moving forward,

Easter Greetings

I like Easter!!!

More than a new beginning, for me, it symbolizes HOPE.
Hope for all those who've been fighting all these time for something or someone. As well as for those who are just about to start something new - hope for something better. =)

So yeah, Happy Easter!!

I hope it was eggciting and bunnylicious! Whatever the case maybe. jeje.

So yeah, let's sing it!!!!

Sing it for the boys, sing it for the girls
Every time that you lose it sing it for the world
Sing it from the heart
Sing it till you're nuts
Sing it out for the ones that'll hate your guts
Sing it for the deaf
Sing it for the blind
Sing about everyone that you left behind
Sing it for the world, sing it for the world

kay Sue Sylvester na nanggaling!!!

You've got to see what tomorrow brings,

On Forgiveness

As we take a break from all the hustle and bustle in the big city, this lenten season, allow yourself to have a moment of silence and reflection.

What would you want to ask forgiveness for?

Give it a good thought and go ask.

May we all be forgiven,

OMG

OMG as in Oh My Gwyneth!!!!!

Too bad, the shirt's for the ladies only.

I was this close to throwing all my three stripes and move back to you.  Maybe next time, you'll surprise us again - this time with something for men.

Until then.....

For now, I'm keeping my babies. Jeje.

On Awesome-ness

Sometimes, we can all get too caught up with our busy selves that we tend to really forget to stop and smell sniff the roses - at the very least.

Being the career driven persons that we are - there is that tendency for us to really neglect the simpler things in life and expect awesome to be nothing but grand gestures, elaborate parties and expensive trips.

More often than not, we underestimate the power of small gestures. Things like an innocent smile from a complete stranger to acknowledge your presence.  An extended gaze or long glance of admiration.  A second look with a flirty smize.  A long, deep, uninterrupted sleep.  A sincere compliment from a colleague or a friend.  A really perky early morning greeting from that energetic barista - more so, greeting you by the first name instead of getting the generic 'sir'.  A simple greeting - email/SMS/etc. like 'how are you?' or 'have a great day ahead'.  A tweet or wall post.  Or  perhaps getting a random act of kindness and caring - from people holding the elevator door or those who help you pick up  some loose change.

These little things that we often forget or leave unnoticed.  These simple acts of goodness, in its truest form, which can really turn a rather ordinary day into a more colorful and happy one.  The little things that can somehow turn your mood or even world around in a jiffy and can definitely make you feel awesome, in every sense of the word.  The list, much like the possibilities,  are endless.  You just have to stop for a while, look around and take notice.

Maybe, if we really get to focus our energy on these little things instead of expecting something grand (always), baka mabawasan ang depression at mga emo sa buhay.  Maybe then, we'll start being truly grateful, for everything.  And live happily ever after. =)

Image is Everything

I find it a bit alarming that somehow, people would rather prefer being known  for as "sosyal",  far more than being referred to as generally, a good person.

It's as if being tagged as sosyal will make their lives better or even happier - than all the rest of the so-called commoners.

Sad.  Really sad.

=============================

In other news, a number of people were outraged upon seeing Tricia Gosingtan, a fashion blogger, refer to Filipinos as not being 'fashion-forward'.  In an instant, people in and out of the fashion world voiced out their opinions and mostly nega reactions about this one.  Twitter was once again flooded with all the negativity, somehow pointing into one direction - Tricia's.

So, when I had the luxury of time - I googled what was said, before simply jumping into the nega bandwagon.

See for yourself.....

What gives?

Well, it seems like everybody has his/her own opinion about how she should've answered the question or said her piece about fashion-forwardness.  Some made good points while others were simply uhm, yeah, nakikisawsaw.  Unfortunately, none of us made the cut to be in that same table as Nina Garcia.  Because, we were all not invited - it was only Tricia.  And for that reason alone, she can say whatever she wants/thinks, about a certain topic she's asked - all based on the level of knowledge and experience she currently has.

I'll leave the cyber-bullying to the experts and the panghuhusga sa mas makikitid ang utak.  I don't need all that negativity anywhere near me.  Eowv.

Kaya ang masasabi ko lang, congratulations Tricia - for landing that spot and meeting Nina Garcia.   Sabi nga nila, haters are just confused admirers.  Kaya sige, kayo na.  Kayo na ang fashion forward.

Masama ang madaming inggit sa katawan - nakakataba!

Isang fashion naman jan,

Love Team

Dear Blog,
Today I saw someone.
Yun bang parang magaan ang loob mo agad?
Without even having to say anything.
You see, today, I smiled.
Like what most people tell me.
For once.
For a change.
And I think, he also smiled back.

But I was too shy,
to say something, anything.
He is too, perhaps.
Like usual, I didn't think I was ready.
Maybe he is thinking the same.
So I left. Still smiling smize-ing.

But to be honest,
His face lingers, still.
Right at this very moment,
when I am sitting all alone
typing. Writing this post.

So blog, I believe you in saying that sometimes
there are no second chances.
And I do agree with you on that.
But please, can you make an exeption?
Just this once.
For me.
For that scared shit in me.
And I promise to take it.
With both hands,
no questions asked.

How's next weekend???

the best love team in the cutest bill

Thanks phouwsz,

One of Those Days

It was one of those days, when you try your best not to fall asleep during a rather early haircut session while the stylist's assistant hits on you.  Nasabihan tuloy siya ng "hoy, magpagpag ka ng buhok".

It was one of those days, when you hear words like 'crush ka daw niya', that usually wakes your very core and then spikes up your mood and ego by at least 85%.  Although we all know it's just one of those statements that kids with ranging hormones say.  Ah kids.

It was one of those days, when you try to shuttle to/from Manila and Makati holding a 32oz. 7-11 GULP full of ice under the scorching summer heat.  Ang sakit palaa sa ulo!!! Bakit kasi may traffic pa din sa Makati even on Saturdays??!!!

It was one of those days, when you try to listen intently to three people as they update you with what just happened, been happening and will happen in their lives - in a rigodon kind of way.  Yung tipong magku-kwento tapos may titingnan sa rack.  Then comes friend number 2, magku-kwento then mag-c-CR.  Then came friend number 3, magku-kwento tapos mapuputol kasi tapos na mag CR si friend number 2 at lilipat na naman kayo ng lugar.  Repeat cycle until somebody's initial story comes to a close or at least until someone uses the word 'retarded' in the conversation.  I mean seriously, are we still allowed to use that word???  Lolz.

It was one of those days, when someone gets an impromptu date!!  I invoke my right against self incrimination.

It was one of those days, when you find out that your former crush lives next door and sings.  And he does that really well.  I don't know what he's singing or to whom even, but the guy can really really sing!!!  I mean, somebody sent me a video link of him singing as proof!! Taena lang.  Ikaw na.  Ikaw na ang fucking perfect!!!  Can somebody teach me how to sing 'Sandcastle' a.k.a Kastilyong Buhangin?! Sige na!

Yes, it was one of those days.  One of those ordinary, unexpected and surprisingly fun days.  Life unexpected.  lolz.

Oh and yeah, April fools day lang recently.  I hope wala sino man sa inyo ang nagpaloko.  Hahaha.

Yes, the famous Green Tea KitKat is now in my hands!!

I. DIED.
